PURPLE!

Composing a song

In psychology, purple is the color of imagination and creativity. Composing a song involves imagination and inventiveness to create your own music. A song also serves as a therapy to our troubled souls, one way of communicating through sounds and lyrics. It is also an art of expression that is appreciated up to now. And now i will teach you and give you some of my tips in doing it. By the way this is my favorite hobby creating music and lyrics especially when i'm inspired and also when I'm depressed. Which goes to step number one.

1. Compose a song when you're either inspired or depressed. Because emotions will serve as the motivation and give us urge to express our thoughts. Tip: don't compose song when you are angry. You will just waste lots of papers or pages in your notebook. Trust me.
2. Choose a theme for your song. This will serve the back bone and the starting point in creating the lyrics of the song.
3. Choose a person/event/situation that you want to discuss in the song. You need to have a subject for you to discuss in the song. Without a subject you will just waste your time in finding the right words to write.
4. Create rhythm that suits your mood. Use any instruments for you to create the rhythm easily and if you don't how to play any, ask for someone who knows how to play any instruments to help you.
5. Observe rhyming of words (optional) to make it more pleasing to the listeners. The song is more appealing if they have rhyming words.Trust me.
6. Put foods beside you. Writing songs will make you hungry especially when you are in the midst of hunting the right words in the last stanza. Make sure you're tummy is always full because if not good luck to your song.

Last tip: Compose a song in the place where you can isolate yourself from others (Nature!!!). Because you probably will look like a fool to them: looking at the ceiling while humming, smiling alone, crying and etc. See?

There you go! Check the song below as an example. I wrote this song to my high school best friend as present for his birthday five years ago. This song talks about friendship that we had in high school and his humbleness in spite of his achievements and success that he have right now. And as his best friend I'm so proud of him. :)

Star

By: Me

Everyday was always been a lucky day
you and I always made each other smile
saying Hey! I want to be a star someday
making songs singing our favorite song
Playing now, Miley or Bieber song
"What's wrong?" It's we
"We are singing along"

Refrain:
But the time came, that we need to go on separate ways
And now I'm proud to say

Chorus:

Even you're a star now
You could still know how
to find ways back here in this place
Even you're a star now
you could still know how
to be here here in the land where i stand
I will always be waiting
For the night to come
To watch you shining
brighter among the stars

"Hey hey, I want kikiam everyday"
You say "Chicken Nuggets I will pay"
What will they say?
"I'm already full anyway"
Sit back relax
I know you know it sucks
talking again again and again
Again we say
"I want to be a star someday"

Bridge:

Party in the USA
Butterflies fly away
Imma tell you one time

Repeat
Refrain and Chorus
2X

BROWN!

Cocoon love: MU

As we all know Red is the universal color for love. But now I will introduce to you a new color of love, the brown. Why color brown? I just simply get it from the typical color of a cocoon. So what is "cocoon love" by the way? Let us first define what a cocoon is. Cocoon is the life stage of an insect normally (caterpillar transforming to a butterfly) that undergoes on transformation. In other words it’s not yet fully developed. In relation to love, cocoon love in other words is immature love. And sadly many people are experiencing cocoon love. They fall in love in a wrong time and in a wrong attitude. One of example and most famous to teens today is MU. Why MU? MU is a cocoon love. It is a love between two persons that are immature. Why immature? Because they are the ones who don’t want to take responsibilities and get in a commitment. They are afraid to address their feelings for each other because they don’t want to get hurt: playing safe in other words. They always hide in their cocoons. They just want to enjoy each other without admitting that they love each other, they just rely on feelings. And love without commitment is just pleasure. It’s like buying a product without a brand: you feel happy at first because it’s affordable and catchy but it cannot be trusted, low quality and most likely won’t last long. Like in MU it causes confusion on both party that most likely ended up in frustration and destruction. So how are you going to avoid this kind of love. The answer is simple: waiting. You just have to wait to be fully developed and to be matured like a cocoon transforming into butterfly: when you know that you are already mature: ready to take responsibilities and commitment, that’s the right time. And surely your relationship will grow, will be colorful and you will have love that is free like a flying butterfly that takes you to different places, aspects and views in life which is very far from a cocoon.

BLACK!

Victory in Darkness
By: Mariel Fernando

My life was in darkness
My innocent eyes was blinded
The past that really marked
my life that supposed to be enlightened

I'd been to many places
that I'd never heard of before
Each place brought me down into grave
Deep as a well with no water

Instead of anguish after what happened
I felt victory with the bruises I'd got
Instead of feeling ashamed
Here I am standing, proud of my scars!

GREEN!

This photo was taken by me at Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain in Antipolo city where I spent my time dating with God and nature last 18th of March, 2014.

Nature is a portal of man from the chaotic life of people to a paradise of peace. Nature is the mediator of human's flesh to her sister, the spirit. Nature is the bridge that links us and draws us to our sovereign God. In summing up nature is supernatural. It is made by our loving creator to extend the limitations of human mind and serve as a therapy to our vulnerable souls. We are bound by different toxic of this world that can corrupt our minds and souls: money, lust, fame, conflicts, emotional instability and etc. Because of His compassion God give us nature to have a refuge where we can cleanse our minds and feed our souls with tranquility. It balances the human mind and our spirit that conveys that God is just. It creates a room for us to experience the true peace and joy. It stirs our mind to capture the wonders beyond human life. That's how magical our nature is and how loving and amazing our God is.

WANT TO ENCOUNTER GOD?
BE CLOSE TO NATURE :)
